Alma 37:6-7

Alma 37:6-7
Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.

And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.

On Tuesday this week we had Mission Leadership Council and we gave a really funny training on using correct and proper language. British huh? The training was focused on removing weak words from our vocabulary. Words like; I guess, kinda, maybe, sort of, almost, just, like, ummmmmm and any other verbal ticks we may have acquired while on our missions. We made a really funny video about it and I will put it on the Google drive account today.

Elder Donaldson of the 70 was attending the meeting and made a comment that really helped me understand where I am at this moment. In his words he said, " I will be the new mission president in Scotland/Ireland mission on July first, so I called our area president (Elder Teixiera) a few weeks ago and asked him for advice on where I should go to learn how to run a mission and how leadership should run in a mission. He responded and told me 'You need to go to London England. They are doing some exciting things and you need to see what they are doing.' I hope you realize where you are at the moment. You are under the direction of the finest mission president of the world. You are called to represent the Lord where Prophets and Apostles have been called to serve. You are doing it at a time where the work is hastening. Remember these moments and make every second count because you are in a remarkable situation."

The spirit was so strong as he said those words and I know them to be true. The Spirit of the Lord is being poured out among his children in London and we have witnessed it this week.

On Wedensday morning we were asked to drive to the train station and pick up a new missionary from Ukraine. While driving there we got in an accident. Don't worry mum it is alright. No one was injured and it wasn't our fault. We were in a right hand turn and straight only lane and the car next to us was in a straight only lane and he tried to turn right and smashed into the front right of the car. I have pictures as evidence for you all to see. Some other Elders came to pick up Elder Anderson and take him to the station to get the other Elder from the Ukraine. Elder Torres and I stayed with the car for 2 hours waiting for the tow truck to come get the car. Interesting way to start the day.

On Wednesday we had another exchange and guess who it was with.... ELDER NOLAN! It was great to be back again for the day and we had so much fun. I love that guy. His granddad sent him a Selfie stick so we were going around London taking Selfies with people and then start talking to them about the gospel. It worked great!

We also had a lesson with 4 chinese recent converts and it was so cool so we took a picture. I will send that as well. Chinese people are really prepared for the gospel. They are such strong members!

Well that is it for this week. I hope to see Lion King soon and we are hopefully going to go to the Wax Museum to take pictures with the Queen! The pics will be great!

Love,
Elder David
